Its aim is to transform mathematics education across the region, helping children to become excited about and committed to mathematics, while contributing to their own, regional and national prosperity. The Hub works with its learning community to help make this vision a sustainable reality.

East Midlands West Maths Hub was successfully launched in November 2014, with an innovative and varied programme of workshops and events for Foundation, Primary and Secondary mathematics teachers, FE lecturers and curriculum leaders.

Its workshops and professional network events provide valuable opportunities for teachers’ professional development, supporting improvements in teaching practice across more than 450 schools throughout the region.
